After Hurricane Katrina, and after losing her husband only 4 months later, she moved to Walker, LA where she was surrounded by her best friends from her Chalmette neighborhood. Much later she moved to Covington, LA to be closer to her children. Many thanks to the entire staff of Avanti Senior Living of Covington for taking excellent care of and loving our mom. Thank you to Total Blessings Sitting Service for providing such kind, caring, professional 24 hour sitters in our mom’s last days. They gave her, and us, so much peace. Lastly, so much love to Dr Ronald Segura and Nurse Practioners, Brandi and Jamie, for trying to alleviate her pain. Our family will never forget the time and effort everyone poured into our mom. She will be missed and loved forever, until we meet again.
