Brian was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, on June 18th, 1960, to Mary Sue Funderburk Marionneaux and Charles Wendell Marionneaux. He grew up in the Lakeview neighborhood of New Orleans, Louisiana. He attended St. Dominic School, Brother Martin High School, the University of New Orleans and Southeastern Louisiana University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. Brian worked as a computer programmer at Martin Marietta and on various Federal Government projects. Brian loved a wide range of music, enjoyed playing basketball with friends, fishing, boating, and especially watching Saints and Tulane football with his father.
Brian, a loving and loyal son, brother, uncle and friend is survived by his sisters, Karen M. Landry (Stephen) and Yvonne M. Busby (Gregory), nieces, Elise K. Lemarie’ and Kaitlyn E. Landry, nephews, Brett L. Lemarie’ and Justin P. Landry (Chelsea), grand-nieces, grand-nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Sue Funderburk Marionneaux, father, Charles Wendell Marionneaux, and sister, Carla M. Lemarie’.
The family thanks the staff at Forest Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, especially his nurses Heidi, Gwen, Steven and Chaplain Andre for their dedication and support as well as St. Catherine’s Hospice nurses Danielle, Becky and Ronnie for their support and Jason with Grace Funeral Home & St. Lazarus of Bethany Memorial Garden for his assistance.
Visitation will be held from 11:30 am until 1:00 pm on Wednesday, September 2, 2026 at the Grace Funeral Home (450 Holy Trinity Drive, Covington, LA). His Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, September 2, 2026 at the Grace Funeral Home Chapel (450 Holy Trinity Drive, Covington, LA). Graveside Services will follow at St Lazarus of Bethany Memorial Garden.
