On Sunday December 18, 2022 we lost an astounding young woman, Consuelo “Sway” Marie Garcia, 21, born May 17, 2001. She was the sassy and beloved daughter of Barbara Garcia and The Late Lancis Cyprian, an amazing & cheeky big sister to Essencia Garcia, Lancis Cyprian, and Katalina Brown, a doting aunt of Liam Cyprian, a loving sister in law to Gabriella Cowden, a cherished granddaughter of Lillian & Leonard Burris, Mary Garcia, and Jerry Garcia. She was the coolest cousin to have and the adored niece to several aunts and uncles. Let’s not forget a devoted mother to her fur baby, Belle. She was born in Lake view Hospital in Covington, Louisiana. She grew up in Loranger and Folsom Louisiana.
She was just beginning her life and lived it true to herself. Even though she was a self-proclaimed introvert, she was bold and unafraid by nature. Anyone who knew her, knew she was truly one of a kind. She was unique in every way, her style, her voice, her swag, her talent, and her thunder. She was the storm that you wanted to get caught in. She worked at taco bell and Starbucks. She had an amazing work-ethic. She enjoyed her shifts at Starbucks and she really cared for her regulars. She took pride in developing her skills there and wanted to climb the corporate ladder. She took notes and studied her practice. She did this with everything she was passionate about. Her hands were magic. Everything they touched turned into pure beauty. She was a wizard in that way. She loved art in all forms. She was an awarded artist, devoted to her craft. She loved make-up. She always looked so beautiful. Her bookshelves were filled with her favorite animes. Her walls were covered with art and several figurines of her favorite characters. Stuffed animals covered her bed. Her style was dark but her heart was strong and warm. She loved music, her most recent favorite artist were Billie Eilish, Joji, Doja cat, XXXTentacion, Trippie Redd, and Steve Lacey. To say that she lit up a room is far too cliché for her, she lit the room on fire.
She was confident in who she was, and she didn’t have a jealous bone in her body. That always amazed me. She was an admirer of all things beautiful. We need more of that in this world. I want to send you away with her words. PERIOD QUEEN PERIOD.
She was preceded in death by her Great Grandmother “Grandma Lucy”, her Father Lancis Cyprian, and her Nephew Liam Cyprian. She survived by her Mother Barbara Garcia, her Siblings Lancis Cyprian, Essencia Garcia, and Katalina Brown, her Fur-Baby Belle and many other family members that loved her dearly. She will be missed immensely by all who knew her.
Relatives and Friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service at Grace Funeral Home, 450 Holy Trinity Dr. Covington, La 70433, on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be held from 09:30 until service time. Burial will follow services in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Loranger, LA.
Never Forgotten
You’ll never be forgotten
That simply cannot be.
As long as I am living
I’ll carry you with me.
Safely tucked within my heart
Your light will always shine;
A glowing ember never stilled,
Throughout the end of time.
No matter what the future brings,
Or what may lie ahead,
I know that you will walk with me
Along the path I tread.
So, rest my angel, be at peace
And let your soul fly free.
One day I’ll join your glorious flight
For all eternity.
