Dennis Davillier was born in Slidell, Louisiana on January 17, 1945 and joins his parents, Peter Patrick Davillier and Mary Venedia Pichon Davillier, his brother Patrick Phillip Davillier and his stepson, Gerald David Pichon in paradise. Dennis was the beloved husband of Lois Dupart Davillier for 48 years and the best friend to brother Allen Sebastian Davillier (Mary). He was the adored father of three daughters, Denise Davillier, Maryann Davillier (Marvin) and Kelly Williams (Robert) and the spirited stepfather of five, Sheila Pichon, Herbert Pichon (Lutre), Ronald Pichon, Patricia Pichon and Kevin Pichon (Michelle). Dennis was “Unc” to niece Vanessa Davillier and nephews Patrick Davillier Jr., David Davillier and Damian Davillier. Dennis was the navigator of many adventures with his seven grandchildren, Tabitha Davillier, Annalyn Davillier, Patrick Faciane, Amanda Benjamin (Andre), Michael Williams, Marquise Williams, and Lamark Williams and the very proud great-grandfather of nine; Christian, Trenton, Rowan Dennis, Makayla, Kaylee, Andre, Nevaeh, Marquise Jr., and Ashton. Dennis was a veteran who served his country in the United States Army and later the Owner/Operator of D & L Transport, Inc. He was a lifelong Truck Driver and loved traveling to every state in the country. Dennis assured that one of his children or grandchildren could always be found riding next to him in the “big truck.” He dedicated his life to helping his family, friends and those less fortunate. Dennis has been described as “the kindest man I knew” by many and was compassionate, fun-loving, generous, mischievous, warm and had a great sense of humor. He will be greatly missed by a host of relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend A Celebration of Life at Grace Funeral Home (450 Holy Trinity Drive, Covington, LA) on Friday morning, July 17, 2020 at 10:00. An online guestbook is available at www.gracenorthshore.com.
