Diane Lynn Cimo, 73, of Mandeville, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on September 7, 2026, surrounded by her loving family and close friends.
Born on January 28, 1953, in New Orleans, Diane was the youngest daughter of Joseph Cimo and Rosalie Alack Cimo. She is survived by her sister, Linda Cimo (Carlyle Pack), and her beloved aunts Josie Alack Burris, Lauretta Alack Guillot, and Arleen Cimo.
Diane graduated from Broadmoor Senior High School in Baton Rouge before embarking on a vibrant and varied career. She spent several years in hospitality, serving as the Restaurant and Bar Manager at the Marriott Hotels in Lexington, KY, and Houston, TX, and later as Manager of Visible Changes Hair Salon in Houston.
After returning home to Louisiana, Diane embraced her lifelong passion for art. She was the owner of Diane Cimo Interiors specializing in interior design. She was also a talented artist and jewelry maker and became a familiar and cherished presence at the Mandeville Trailhead, where she sold her artwork every Saturday.
A devoted animal lover, Diane was an active member of the Humane Society and rescued as many dogs as her heart—and home—could hold. Her sweet shih tzu, Ellie, was her latest constant companion and the center of her daily life.
Diane will be remembered for her creativity, her generosity, her gentle humor, and her unwavering devotion to the people and animals she loved. Her spirit lives on in the art she created, the lives she touched, and the joy she brought to those fortunate enough to know her.
Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, September 17, 2026 at Lakelawn Metairie Cemetery (5100 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70124).
