Donald K. Hunt, Sr., a proud U.S. Army veteran who served two tours in Vietnam, passed away on July 29, 2025, in Covington, Louisiana, at the age of 77. He retired from Sysco Foods after a 30-year career and will be remembered for his strength, commitment to family, and quiet resilience.
He is survived by his son, Donald K. Hunt, Jr., and his spouse Mary Craig Hunt, and by his daughter Melissa Hinebaugh and her spouse Eric Hinebaugh. He was a loving grandfather to Bailey Hunt, Donald Kingsley Hunt III, Delainy Hinebaugh, Nathan Hinebaugh, and Patrick Hinebaugh. He is also survived by several beloved great-grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
A celebration of life will be held for family and friends at the Hunt’s Home in Covington, Louisiana on Sunday, August 3rd from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
