Edward is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Wilda “Mae” (Badeaux) Walker; his children Kala Walker Cardon (Jace) and Lyndra Walker Wicker (Mitch); three grandchildren Stephanie Mullins Wingo (Matthew), Lauren Wicker Loyd (Casey), and Lucien Mitchell Wicker, Jr., and four great-grandchildren Amelia Rosalie Loyd, Henley Mae Wicker, Edward Thomas Wingo, and Eyla Mae Wingo. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law Belinda Causin and Brenda Ranson; his brother-in-law Dennis Ranson; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family who will all miss him dearly.
Edward is preceded in death by his parents and his seven siblings Abel Walker, John Walker, Mignon Walker Glynn, Gertrude Walker Glynn, Edgar Walker, Bennie Walker, and Roy Walker.
Edward was a Staff Sergeant in the Air Force during the Korean War. He was the co-owner of a construction company, B&E Builders, creating beautiful homes with his brother Bennie for over 40 years. Edward enjoyed retirement by spending time with his grandchildren and tending to his garden in Folsom.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services at Grace Funeral Home, 450 Holy Trinity Drive, Covington, LA 70433 on Monday, December 27, 2021 at 11:00 AM with visitation on Monday beginning at 9:00 AM. Interment will follow the services in St. Lazarus of Bethany Memorial Garden, adjacent to Grace Funeral Home.
