

On November 10, 2025, Jacques Blouin of Madisonville, Louisiana, was called home by his Lord and Savior. He passed away peacefully after a long battle with colon cancer. Throughout his fight, Jacques found strength each day in the unwavering support of his devoted wife and the joy of his children and grandchildren.
Born on December 6, 1955, in New Orleans, Jacques was the eldest son of the late Bertrand and Reineann Blouin. He married the love of his life, Janet Martin, on July 14, 1984, in Natchitoches, Louisiana. They spent the next 41 years together focused on their faith and their family.
A graduate of Bonnabel High School, Jacques went on to obtain a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Louisiana State University. He built a long and respected career as a licensed Professional Engineer, retiring in 2018 as the lead Process Safety Advisor at Chevron. He served as a deacon at Calvary Baptist Church in New Orleans and later attended Heritage Bible Church in Terrytown and First Baptist Church in Covington. In his downtime, he enjoyed fishing, gardening, working on his vehicles, and tinkering in his garage.
Jacques is survived by his devoted wife, Janet Blouin; his children, Brett Blouin (Lindsay) of Baton Rouge, Joshua Blouin of Hammond, Jared Blouin (Emily) of Baton Rouge, and Lindsay Friar (Devin) of Houston; and his treasured grandchildren, Henry Blouin, and Clarence Laine and Claire Friar. He is also survived by his sister, Denise Booth (Calvin); his brother, Paul Blouin (Florence); and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Jacques Blouin will be held on Friday, November 14, 2025 from 10:00 am until 11:30 am at Grace Funeral Home (450 Holy Trinity Drive, Covington, Louisiana). Funeral Services will be held at 11:30 am at Grace Funeral Home (450 Holy Trinity Drive, Covington, Louisiana). A private burial will follow the service.
