My family moved to Harahan in 1960. The Galiano family lived next door. Many moments of family life there were enjoyed and shared with our Italian neighbors. After high school and college, I married and moved to a home nearby. Years later when I needed after school care for my 8 year old daughter, I contacted Linda, Ritchie’s wife.
Gina was able to have a friendship with Brandee, their daughter. Over the years I have a few opportunities to see and chat with Ritchie’s and Jimmy’s sister Cheryl. I also remember the tragic boating accident that took the life of Ritchie years ago.
Most recently Gina and Brandee had a chat finding they lived in the same neighborhood.
Now they have resumed their friendship.

Jimmy was always working on car engines!
Seems the tapestry of life carries silver and gold threads along with many beautiful colors. I feel we were blessed to have the Galiano family in our lives.
All of you are in my thoughts and prayers.

I will always cherish the memories of growing up in Harahan with the boy next door. Always kind with a smile on his face. James, I will never forget you and God bless you and your family.
