

June Marie Primeaux Pickett, a native of Erath, longtime resident of Slidell and a resident of Baton Rouge and Covington, passed away on July 26, 2026 at the age of 86. June was a real estate broker in Slidell for many years along with teaching at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School and tutoring in St. Tammany Parish School System. She enjoyed gardening, going to garage sales, the beach, and loved her prayer group and church most of all.
June is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Albert Pickett; and her parents, Joseph “Belus” and Eula Primeaux. She is survived by her daughter, Robin Mullett (Craig), and two sons, David Pickett (Suzette) and A.J. Pickett (Jennifer); eight grandchildren, Patrick Mullett, Casie Callais (Brandon), Stephen Mullett (Rachel), Chad Pickett (Chelsey), Brett Pickett, Brody Pickett, Cooper Pickett, and Spencer Pickett; eight great-grandchildren; and her brother Paul “Jack” Primeaux (Shelia).
The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to all of June's friends at St. Anthony’s Gardens retirement community, Foundations Hospice, Amada Senior Care and Erica Cook. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in June’s name to the capital campaign fund of Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 501 Holy Trinity Dr., Covington, LA 70433.
A Funeral Mass will be held for June at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church at a later date.
