

She moved to New Orleans in 1972 and enjoyed a rewarding 32-year career at USDA National Finance Center. She cherished her staff, colleagues, and friends .
She was First VP of NARFE Chapter 0041 for several years -a role she greatly embraced. She enjoyed frolicking with her friends from childhood as well as her prayer buddies, Bunco, Abundant Characters, Lunch Bunch, and other friends that became family.
Kitty was the devoted wife of Richard Guion. In their 47 years of marriage, they traveled the world together; Europe, the Caribbean, and many other exotic places. They enjoyed many adventures skiing, scuba diving, and dancing together.
In addition to her husband Richard, the love of her life was her family - Her stepdaughter Cherie who she idolized. Her granddaughter, Alicia, and great granddaughters, Abigail "Abbie", Annabella "Ella", and Alyssa whom she cherished and was immensely proud of.

Other devoted family members include her brothers Paul Tonchuk (Mary Patricia, "Patty") and the late Gregory Peacock; her sisters Patricia "Patty" Fleming and the late Donna Hanko; her parents the late Raymond Tonchuk and the late Nina Hales; and her nieces Sarah Hand, April Tonchuk (Deb) and Mandi Tonchuk.

Kitty's Celebration of life will be held on Monday, March 2, 2026 at Grace Funeral Home; 450 Holy Trinity Drive, Covington, LA 70433; beginning at 10:30AM, followed by a Catholic Service at 1:00PM. Kitty will be laid to rest at a later date.
