

Leo Peter Casper, 101, of Pearl River, LA passed away peacefully at home Thursday September 18,2025. He was born April 11,1924 in Wilkes Barre, PA to Constantine and Cecelia Casper.
Leo is survived by his daughter Suzanne ”Sue” Casper and grandson Jason Armand.
Leo is preceded in death by his wife Dorothy (Byrne) Casper and his son Glen Casper.
He was the beloved husband of Dorothy Casper, who was blessed to be married to her for 57 years of unconditional love until her passing in 2010; the beloved and devoted father of Suzanne Casper, the late Glen Casper and grandfather to Jason Armand.
Leo was a former merchant marine, served in WWII, was Vice President of Fletcher Equipment and in retirement restored and sold Antiques beside his wife Dorothy.
A native of Wilkes-Barre, PA, and a proud Lithuanian-American, he made his home in Pearl River, LA. He will be remembered for his loving and funny nature, a spirit that shone brightly throughout his journey through life. While we mourn his passing, we find comfort in the enduring words that "Life is real, life is earnest, and the grave is not its goal; Dust thou art, to dust returneth, was not spoken of the soul." His family's love for him is eternal.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend funeral services at
Grace Funeral Home, 450 Holy Trinity Drive Covington, LA on Monday, September 29. Visitation at 12:30pm and Services/Mass to follow at 1:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Leo Casper be
made to the American Cancer Society, www.Cancer.org.
