LouAnna Toups Benefield

LouAnna is survived by her beloved husband Robert G. Benefield; her daughter Wanda B. Rieger (Ronald); and grandchildren Fieldrose Scharfenstein, Ross Rieger (Sarah) and Chad Rieger (Brock); and great grandchild Olivia Rieger.

LouAnna is preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Laura Ann Scharfenstein and her brother Allen Toups.

LouAnna and Robert were happily married for 60 years and resided in Metairie, LA, where they raised their two daughters. They moved to Covington, LA, where they have resided for the last 40 years. During their life together they enjoyed traveling. LouAnna loved her grandchildren and her dogs.

LouAnna worked as a stylist in her own salon with her mother for many years. In later years, she went on to work as an administrative manager in the dental industry until she retired.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation for LouAnna on Monday, November 17, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Grace Funeral Home, 450 Holy Trinity Dr., Covington, LA 70433. A funeral Mass will begin at 12:00 PM.

Burial will follow the services in St. Lazarus of Bethany Memorial Garden Cemetery.
