Louise always excelled at school and completed her Master’s Degree in Fine Arts at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque. She was an extremely talented woman who could draw, paint, or sculpt with equal ease. She was part-owner and manager of Tesseract Art and Craft Supply in Mequon, Wisconsin (and Bailey’s Harbor, Wisconsin) from 1974 until its closing in 2004. Her wonderful shop newsletters were enjoyed by all who read them. In later years she loved to work in ceramics and jewelry. Louise was also a talented cellist and, over the years, belonged to several orchestras and smaller string groups.
Louise never married or had children, but she loved her nieces and nephews, and they loved her. She was always willing to help anyone in need and also loved to teach. After the craft shop sold in Wisconsin in 2013, she moved to Arizona where she lived for the next 10 years before moving to Louisiana. Louise always loved living near family. In her last months, she was greatly assisted by Jamie and her wife Penny. Penny found Lou a senior living apartment and furnished it for her. Penny was always available to help Louise and Louise loved Penny like a sister, as we all do.
Louise is survived by her brother Bill Buth, her sister Jamie Buth and her wife Penny, and her sister Tracy Galloway. She is also survived by nephews Eric Buth and Alex Galloway and nieces Emily Buth and Vicki Galloway.
