Born in New Orleans on February 17, 1954, Mignon was the daughter of Belle Larose Lemarié and Sidney Louis Lemarié. After graduating from St. Joseph Academy, she spent much of her career working as a legal secretary.
Mignon will be remembered for her contagious laugh, her love of conversation, and her unwavering strength. One of her favorite sayings was, “It is what it is.” No matter the challenges she faced in life or illness, she met them with grace, resilience, and acceptance. She rarely complained, choosing to face each situation with courage and determination.
A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Mignon balanced the demands of work and family while creating a loving home for those she cherished most. She enjoyed collecting Christmas ornaments from her travels, especially those from different countries, and was an avid reader of her Kindle or a library book in hand.
Mignon is survived by her beloved husband of 52 years, Keith Treuting; her son, Jay Treuting and wife Ali; her daughter, Kali Reid and husband Matthew; and her cherished grandchildren, Anders Treuting and Lucille Reid. She is a sister to Larry Lemarié, Clare Lemarié Guilbault, Charlotte Lemarié Noto, Rhea Lemarié Gonczi, and Paul Lemarié.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Belle and Sidney Lemarié, and her brothers, James, René, and Russell Lemarié.
