

Owen Michael Labourdette, 64, of Destrehan, Louisiana passed away peacefully on May 14, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on March 31, 1962, in New Orleans, Louisiana to the late Roy P. Labourdette Sr and Evelyn Domangue Labourdette. Owen was a devoted husband to Lizeth Mejia Labourdette and a cherished father.
He spent 28 years working in communications at Marlink, where he was known for his selfless dedication to his team and company. Outside of work, he enjoyed golf, fishing and cooking for family and friends, especially his delicious Gumbo and hosting Crayfish boils.
He was a role model for his children and taught them to be kind, work hard and always lend a helping hand. His legacy lives on in the many lives he touched with his kindness, love and sense of humor.
Owen is survived by his loving wife, Lizeth; children, Ethan (wife Jackie), Gavin (wife Kerry); step-children Carlos Betancourt (wife Amanda) and Bryan Betancourt. Grandchildren, Addison, Andrew, Oliver and Amelia. He cherished his role as a father, grandfather and mentor to all his children. Brother of Dawn Barberio (Rip), Eric Labourdette, and Rusty Labourdette (Kim). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will cherish his memory.
A Memorial Visitation will be held for Owen on Saturday, May 23, 2026 beginning at Grace Funeral Home, 450 Holy Trinity Drive, Covington, LA at 10:30AM, followed by a Service at 11:30AM. Owen will be laid to rest following services at St. Lazarus of Bethany Memorial Gardens.
