I only met Rene once. A weekend about 10 years go when I stayed with him and Donna. Donna and I grew up together. He was gracious and sweet. He seemed to be loving and caring and I was happy Donna had found a wonderful man. I'm sure he'll be missed by all. My heart goes out to Donna and all their families.

Rene and I go back to the 80's. We enjoyed excellent debates and conversations alone with good food and good times.
Of all the people I knew, Rene forced me to think about the politics of our government. Thank you Rene.

We loss touch with each other over the years however reconnected recently.

I will miss Rene. You are loved by many.

Rene and I first met more than 40 years ago as employees at Sears Clearview. Although time and distance affected constant interaction, memories shared are fortunately on a continuous loop within my mind. One of the best a friend could ask for.

Rene was one of the first mentors I worked with after graduating LSU in 2001 and working with his firm until 2007. We worked on many client accounts together. His style was unique, his thought was independently his own and he enjoyed rich food and a healthy debate. I was deeply saddened to hear about his premature loss with life. He will be missed by his family, friends and colleagues. At these times, it's important to remember the impact of those who enter and exit our lives.

With a heavy heart and deep sympathy,

Tim Hemphill
