Seamus Joseph Roniger passed away on September 29, 2023, at the age of 52, as a result of injuries he received in a recent automobile accident. He is survived by his mother, Caroline Jordy Melton, his father Timothy Roniger, his sister Alethia Melton, his brother Tyson Roniger (Angel), his stepfather John Melton, his stepmother Nancy Ordemann Roniger, his step-siblings Stephanie Melton (Robin), John Melton, Jr., Howard Melton (Diana), Emery Ordemann, Beau Ordemann (Maggie), and many aunts, uncles, and first cousins. Seamus was born and raised in New Orleans. He attended Trinity Episcopal School and graduated from Newman High School, where he played football. He then attended LSU and University of New Orleans. He was warm, caring, conscientious, and good-hearted. He was much beloved by all our family and roundly regarded as the best of us. He was a Peer Support Specialist and volunteer at NAMI St. Tammany, and after moving to St. Tammany Parish following Hurricane Katrina, he became an enthusiastic gardener. He was a longtime volunteer at the Audubon Zoo and an avid Saints fan, who reveled in their NFL Championship. His family plans to celebrate his life at private funeral ceremonies.
Services have been entrusted to Grace Funeral Home.
