Sharon is survived by her husband Richard George Durand; her children Patrick Joseph Deynoodt, Heather Deynoodt Ratcliff (Chase Narvel Ratcliff), Morgan Taylor Deynoodt; her step-children Marisa Durand and Lindsay Durand Cade (Christopher); her grandchildren Liam Jordan Deynoodt, Rylie Jane Ratcliff, Carson Narvel Ratcliff and Collins Marie Lauderdale; and step-grandchildren Hadley and Oliver. She is also survived by her Mother Margaret Jo Taylor, her sister Rebecca Carollo, and her brother Raymond Taylor.
Sharon is preceded in death by her father Ishmael Taylor and brother Donald Newton Taylor.
Sharon graduated from Salmen High School, class of 1980. She served as a legal secretary with Blue Williams Law Firm for 19 years. Sharon was one of a kind; had a smile that was contagious, and the best sense of humor. She was a beloved mother, wife, sister, daughter, grandmother, aunt and niece. Sharon will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
The family would not have survived without our amazing community who have supported us with meals, prayers and fundraisers. We would like to thank all of the doctors, nurses and staff who cared for Sherry with the utmost compassion.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at Grace Funeral Home, 450 Holy Trinity Drive, Covington, LA 70433 on Friday, January 19, 2024 at 1:00 PM with visitation beginning at 11:00 AM.
Burial will follow the services in St. Lazarus of Bethany Memorial Garden, under the direction and care of Grace Funeral Home.
