Sharon French Kinler

Sharon is survived by her son Corie Grelle (Melanie) and her daughter Katie Kinler and her grandchildren Hayden and Evan. She is also survived by her sister Dana Duhe (Marcel), as well as three nieces and nephews.

Sharon is preceded in death by her mother and father.

Sharon was born and raised in Arabi, Louisiana. She attended St. Robert Bellarmine School and graduated class of 1976 from the Academy of the Holy Angels in New Orleans, Louisiana. She later moved to Longwood, Florida where she raised her two children. She worked in IT at McKesson for over 30 years, but retired from Tanner Medical in Carrollton, Georgia in 2021. She developed business relationships but most importantly friendships that turned into family along the way. No one was a stranger to Sharon. When Sharon began her journey with cancer, she moved back to the New Orleans area with the support of her sister. She would spend her last year making friends while living at the Windsor Senior Community Center in Mandeville. She was most often the life of the party. Her zest for life was one made apparent when she became the Queen of the Windsor Center’s Mardi Gras Ball just this past February. She never gave up. She spent her last months defying all odds surrounded by her children, grandchildren, sister and family.

Her cancer battle was not lost. The true battle was won. “I have fought the good fight. I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” 2 Timothy 4:7. Let us all follow her example.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Grace Funeral Home, 450 Holy Trinity Drive, Covington, LA 70433 on Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at 12:00 PM with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM.
