Sophie Dorothea Scholvin, age 81, of River Ridge, Louisiana passed away on Monday, May 12, 2025. Sophie was born in New Orleans. She was the loving wife of the late John Scholvin for 47 years. Devoted mother of the late John "Jay" Scholvin Jr. and Matt Scholvin (Jan). Grandmother of Brandon (Paige), Jordan (Danielle), Jenna "The Favorite", John III, and Jaclyn. She also has three great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by parents Henry & Sophie Zinsel Miller, sisters Franciska DeSadier (Robert), and Stephanie Devoe. Survived by brother Henry Miller, Jr. (Debbie).
Sophie was an employee of Ochsner Psychiatry for over 26 years. She was a past Queen of the Daughters of the Nile, and a member of the Eastern Stars. She enjoyed spending quality time with her family at Paul B. Johnson for the last 45 years.
The Scholvin family asks that donations be made in her honor to The Shriners.
A private memorial will be held at a later date.
