Susette (Falgout) Hunt, born on July 24, 1961, in New Orleans, LA, passed away on Friday, May 30, 2025. Susette moved from the New Orleans are to Lafayette, Louisiana with her family in 1971, where she quickly made many friends. She was a gentle, easy-going, and loving person. She stayed in Lafayette until 1991 when she moved to New Orleans for work. There she met the love of her life, Donald K. Hunt, Sr. Susette was adventurous and did many things like fishing, diving, skiing, skeet shooting. She loved her friends and her family. Susette was the youngest of four children. She is survived by her beloved husband of 32 years, Donald K. Hunt, Sr., two stepchildren Melissa D. Hinebaugh (Eric) and Donald K. Hunt, Jr. (Mary Craig); sister Lindy Fisher (Richard); brother David Falgout (Carol).
She was preceded in death by her father, Mel Falgout; her mother Bebe (Holladay) Falgout; and brother Tim Falgout.
A celebration of life will be held for family and friends at the Hunt’s Home in Covington, Louisiana on Saturday, June 7th from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
