

Vera “Kiki” Wright Thibaut, 96 of Mandeville passed away on Friday January 16, 2026 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on February 2, 1929 in Lake Worth, Florida to the late James Luther Wright & Vera Speck Wright. Kiki is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Constance Elizabeth Edwards; siblings, James Luther “Bo” Wright, and Sue Rose Wright Pellerin.
Kiki greeted everyone with warmth and a smile, a true quintessential Southern Lady. She was known for her impeccable style. From the way she dressed to the way her home was kept, everything reflected her eye for beauty and order. Kiki loved shopping and was a familiar friendly face in many local shops. Kiki loved art and loved to paint. She was an avid reader and enjoyed story telling. She had fond memories of being a tour guide in the French Quarter. Kiki loved caring for her garden. She was a woman of strong faith and a member of Covington Presbyterian Church. Kiki was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
Kiki is survived by her loving children, Louise Thibaut Rusch (Richard), David Dubourg Thibaut Jr (Lisa) , and Sally Thibaut Buras; grandchildren, Katherine, Sarah, Chris, and Simon; great grandchildren, Mason and Baylee. Kiki also leaves behind to cherish her memory a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 23, 2026 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at Covington Presbyterian Church (222 South Jefferson Ave, Covington). Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, January 23, 2026 at Covington Presbyterian Church (222 South Jefferson Ave, Covington) with burial to follow at St Lazarus Cemetery.
