

Wayne Gerard Hebert went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and was reunited with his beloved wife, Caroline Ruest Hebert, on April 24. A native of Plaquemines Parish, Louisiana, Wayne was born and raised in Pointe-à-la-Hache, where he grew up alongside many dear cousins and family members. He lived for many years in Braithwaite, Louisiana, where he raised his three children Michele Oelking (Matthew), Nicole Juneau (Luke) and Jacques Hebert (Graham Gremore). He was the loving grandfather of five grandchildren including Adelaide, Mitchell, Molly, Nicholas, and Benjamin. Wayne worked in the financial services industry and loved sports and staying active, playing and following golf and tennis for much of his life. He was a devoted member of Church of the King in Mandeville. He was preceded in death by his wife Caroline, his parents Pauline and Donald Hebert, and his son-in-law Matthew Oelking.
Services will be held Friday, April 29, 2022 at Grace Funeral Home, 450 Holy Trinity Drive, Covington, Louisiana, with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. and a celebration of life beginning at 12:15 p.m.
