Wayne Douglas Naquin passed away July 8, 2025 at the age of 79 after a two-year battle with cancer. He was the beloved husband and best friend of Lillian Angela "Angie" Backes Naquin; Dad of Chris D. Naquin (Toni) and Melissa I. Naquin; Stepdad of Rebecca H. Mora (Ronald) and Christopher M. Handford (Kelley). He was Grandpa to Spencer T. Scandaliato, Celeste P. Scandaliato, Ryder D. Naquin, Ronald J. Mora, Jr., Lillian R. Handford, Wistar R. Handford and Veronica L. Mora.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elsie Yockers Naquin and Woodrow W. Naquin. He was also the beloved brother of Linda N. Deslatte (Herbert) and Lisa N. Fabacher (Michael), and uncle of several nieces and nephews.
Wayne was a graduate of John McDonogh Senior High School and Southeastern Louisiana College.
Family and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at 1:30 PM at Grace Funeral Home, 450 Holy Trinity Dr., Covington, LA 70433. Visitation begins at 11:00 AM, with inurnment to follow the service at St. Lazarus of Bethany Memorial Garden.
