Alice Ann Kidder was born at home the fifth child of Guy and Virginia Walsh on May 1, 1940 in Cuba, Illinois.
On May 9, 1987, she married George Kidder, Jr. They shared 39 years of love and laughter together.
Ann had five children from her first marriage: Lance (Laurie) Markley, Anthony (Kathy) Markley, Kathy Cisco-Weiher, Rhonda (Stan) Martinez and Brian Markley. She gained two step-children, George Kidder III (Kimberly), and Amber (Robert) Mitchell.
She is survived by her loving husband, George Kidder, Jr.; her children; 9 grandchildren, 7 step-grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren; two sisters, Shirley and Jane; one brother, Jack; and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Christopher Walsh; three sisters: Sharon, Lois and Ruth; and a grandson, Jeremy Markley.
She will be forever remembered as our mother, sister and wife. But also as Mrs. Claus.
She and George worked side by side for many years as Mail contractors. One of her greatest joys in life was crocheting and knitting. She made many blankets for family and friends. She also donated many for auction at charities. If you received one, you knew it was special.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made in Ann’s memory to one of the following charities: Moffat County Sheriff’s Office Shop with a Cop; or to Rio Blanco County Sheriff’s Office Shop with a Cop.
A Celebration of Ann's life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, June 28, 2026, at the OP Bar & Grill in Craig.
