Andrew Leon Lambert was born the son of Joseph Chester and Vivian Leoda (McEuin) Lambert on Aug. 17, 1955 in Grand Junction. Andy spent his childhood and attended schools in Grand Junction.
On July 12, 1978, Andy married the love of his life, Rita Louise Murray in Fruita, Colorado.
Shortly after they were married, the couple moved to Craig. To this union, a daughter and twin boys were born: Jamie, Joe and Justin. To support his family, Andy helped build the power plant and later accepted a job at Trapper Mine where he would retire with over 30 years of service.
Andy was a true outdoorsman. He loved hunting and camping with his family and friends. When he wasn’t outdoors, you could find Andy tinkering in his ‘He Man Cave’ or restoring his beloved jeep. Above all, Andy was a devoted husband and loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He will be deeply missed by his loving family and many friends & coworkers.
Andy is survived by his wife of 48 years, Rita; three children: Jaime (Tracey) Garrett, Joe Lambert and Justin Lambert all of Craig; and three sisters: Linda (Lane) Osborn of Hamilton, Becky Duffy and Enola Miller both of Grand Junction. He is further survived by three grandchildren: Andrew Garrett, Aidan Garrett and Jaya Lambert; and one great-grandson, Lucas Garrett.
