He was born unexpectedly on Sept 1, 1942 on Loveland Pass following a car accident. Bill was the sixth child and the most handsome (in his words) of Jesse and Sarah Sloan. He grew up surrounded by 10 siblings in the Ft Collins, Colorado area. Bill met and married his first and only love, Linda White. The two of them had a Love story from beginning to end that Hollywood couldn’t even write. They had 48 wonderful years together before Linda’s passing in 2010. He worked in many parts of Colorado as a heavy equipment operator working road construction and retiring after 30 years with Trapper Mine. Bill was an active member of the Operating Engineers #9 Union for over 60 years. Bill had enormous love for family, friends, ford and hunting and making sure everyone around him was happy and laughing. He loved life and lived life to its fullest. He would do anything for anyone. If you knew Bill then you had a hilarious “story” about Bill. He was preceded in death by his parents Jesse and Sarah, siblings Eleanor, Jimmy, Richard, Doris, Barbara and Mary Lou. His surviving siblings are Raymond, Jesse Donald, Jack and Patti.
