
Donna was born on August 24, 1955, in Springfield, Massachusetts. Throughout her life, she lived in Holyoke, Massachusetts; Turkey; England; North Dakota; and Cheyenne, Wyoming, before settling in Baggs, Wyoming in 2019 with her husband of 48 years, James (Jim) Kuhns.
Donna was a compassionate and gentle woman whose kindness touched all who knew her. She was always willing to help others and had a calm, caring presence that brought comfort to those around her.
She found great joy in life’s simple pleasures. Donna loved quilting, scrapbooking, baking, traveling in their camper, and spending time with her grandchildren, who were the light of her life.
Her working life included roles as a receptionist in several medical offices, an employee at Paper Warehouse, and as a school bus driver for both Laramie County School District #1 and Carbon County School District #1. In every position she held, she was known for her dependability, kindness, and dedication.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Loren C. Irish and Geraldine Irish. Her father in-law Charles Kuhns and mother in-law Mary Eileen Kuhns, as well as, her sister-in-law Eileen Lee.
Donna is survived by her husband, James (Jim) Kuhns; her daughter, Jamie Lauren; her son, James Loren; and her four grandchildren, Emma and Abel Kuhns, and Nathan and James-Paul Litvinoff.
Donna will be remembered for her quiet strength, her deep love for her family, and the compassion she extended to everyone she met. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
A celebration of Donna's life will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 27, 2026, at the Valley Community Center in Baggs. Donna will be laid to rest at the Baggs Cemetery.
