Kenneth Charles Chadwick

September 7, 1946February 8, 2020

On Saturday, February 8, 2020 Kenneth Charles Chadwick, loving husband of Anita, opa, father, brother, uncle and friend to all passed away peacefully in his sleep at the age of 72. Ken was born September 7, 1946 in Scott City, Kansas to Lee & Edith Chadwick, their 4th son of seven children. After graduating in Westcliffe, Colorado he joined the United States Army as a welder/mechanic, fought in Vietnam and after twenty years of service he retired from the military in 1993. He found work with other welding companies and retired from Jay Forbes Welding in 2016. Ken enjoyed “hunting” with his brothers and his sister. His support was unwavering for family and friends, always there to give a helping hand after all he could fix anything with a good pair of plyers, duct tape and bailing wire. Always had a smile for anyone that crossed his path. Please join us to celebrate his life on Friday, February 14, 2020 at 11am at Grant Mortuary in Craig, Colorado. Memorial donations may be made to Northwest Colorado Health and Hospice or The Wounded Warrior Project in care of Grant Mortuary.

We met in 1974 and became friends and shortly after that we became family. You have been one of the Good Guys, devoted to your wife Anita and your kids Cindy, Dennis and Tonya! You were always there to lend a helping and to anyone that needed it! You are loved by so many including me and I will always remember you with a smile for your "Chadwick" sense of humor. Until we meet again on the other side !

I will never forget the times at the farm in Westcliff. Times with everyone there, with the animals, in the barn, in the fields, with family. I'll never forget the time the horse passed gas and my brother came running out of the barn, with eyes as big as silver dollars.
