

Marianne Knopp Brosious, 68, passed away Sunday, August 8, 2021, at Sandrock Ridge Care and Rehabilitation in Craig, Colorado, surrounded by family. She fought a courageous, eight-year battle, against Multiple System Atrophy.
Born April 28, 1953, in Powell, Wyoming, she was the youngest daughter of Rinehold (Ronnie) and Betty (Sand) Knopp. With fond memories of her childhood, Marianne graduated from Cody High School, then attended Northwest College acquiring her associate of arts degree and attended the University of Wyoming, acquiring her bachelor’s degree in elementary education.
She met her future husband while attending Northwest College. She married Dean Brosious on June 1, 1974, in Cody, Wyoming and this union was blessed with two children. Jennifer Anne in 1978 and Adam Dean in 1981.
She was preceded in death by her father Ronnie, and mother Betty. Marianne leaves behind, her husband, Dean, of 47 years, children, Jennifer, Adam, daughter in law Kate and grandson Noah, as well as sister Kathy (Joe) Reed, brothers Larry (Carol) Knopp, and Steve (Barb) Knopp, and numerous nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held, later, when Covid will allow.
Marianne was very active in many organizations in the Craig community but cherished most, the Philanthropic Education Organization (PEO), serving in several of its offices, in her local Chapter AJ. In Marianne’s memory, donations may be made to the PEO scholarship fund, in care of Grant Mortuary.
