Martha A. Grieser passed away on August 7th, 2020 at her home in Craig, CO at the age of 73. She was born October 24th, 1946 in Stuart, FL to William Brannon and Erien (Ammons) Brannon. Her father was a reverend and she lived in many places growing up depending on what church he was ministering at. Some of those locations were Key West, FL, LaJunta, CO, Tucumcari, NM, Eloy, AZ, and Tucson, AZ. She married Carl Rice in 1964 and they had two children, Danny Rice and Rebekah (Rice) Greenwood. After separating, she moved to Denver, CO to her beloved mother’s home where they were a great help and comfort to each other. She later met and married Alan Grieser on August 4th, 1979. They had two children, Naomi (Grieser) Rowley and Beth Grieser. They made their home in Craig, CO. They lived in Naturita, CO for a time but returned to Craig. She worked at Storage Technology in the Denver area prior to meeting Alan. After marrying Alan, she was a homemaker. During that time she did childcare for a couple families. After her children grew up she owned a carpet & furniture store, worked as a “truly liked” lobby lady at McDonalds, and also helped raise her grandson. She loved the Lord dearly and faithfully attended Ridgeview Church of God. She taught her children to love Jesus and was devout in her faith. She has been described by friends and family as a sweet soul, very nice, lovely, precious, and an example of living for God. She mostly enjoyed time with family, cooking, preparing for holidays and serving others with her love and care. Her surviving family members include her husband Alan Grieser, her four children Danny, Rebekah, Naomi, and Beth, and her seven grandchildren Milo LaMar, Josh LaMar, Amanda Cramer, Aaron Cramer, Javan Reece, Jacob Beason, and Edan Guimond. She was proceeded in death by her father William Brannon, her mother Erien Brannon, her brother Calvin Brannon, and her sister Mary Blevins. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the cancer treatment fund for her daughter through Grant Mortuary. A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, August 14, 2020 at Ridgeview Church of God. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 15, 2020 at Ridgeview Church of God. Interment will follow at Craig Cemetery.
