At Grandy Ford in Forrest Grove, Or Jerry began her life-long career working at car dealerships. While in Oregon, Jerry met William G. Brewer. Together they moved to Craig, Colorado around 1963. To this union they welcomed a son, Greg, in 1966 and daughter Sherry in 1977. Joining the family, from Oregon in 1967, were Bill’s daughters, Cheryle and Dana, following the unexpected death of their mother, Kathryne (Fellas) Brewer, from an aneurism. Bill and Jerry later divorced. Jerry became a busy mother raising the children and involving herself in their activities, as well as working in several car dealerships in Craig over her forty-year career as a business manager and accountant. Jerry was dedicated to the Business and Professional Women’s Club holding several offices, including President. She was also involved as both Boys and Girls Scout leader, 4-H leader, Election Judge and reporter and several other community endeavors.
