Tawni was born on August 28, 1991, in Duchesne County Hospital located in Roosevelt Utah, to Kirbin and JoDeena Bullock, just one minute apart from her twin sister, Tasha. Tawni and Tasha were known as double trouble or hotsy and totsy by their Uncle Jerry. Tawni grew up surrounded by love and laughter alongside her sister and older brothers John and Brandon.
In 1993, the family moved to Craig, Colorado, where Tawni spent most of her life. She spent much of her childhood surrounded by many friends. She also enjoyed her Aunt Linda and Uncle Jim’s annual spring cattle branding, where she would sneak off to give the calves a sip of water, and a quick pet.
Tawni attended Moffat County High School, where she graduated with the class of 2009. Tawni was a passionate cheerleader on the MCHS Bulldog Varsity Cheer Squad, where she received multiple awards and Varsity Letters. Always creative and full of life, she followed her passion by attending cosmetology school at Colorado Northwestern Community College. She was a gifted cosmetologist, known for her talent with color, eye for style, and her ability to make her clients feel both beautiful and heard. Many friends and family in the community came to her not just for a haircut, but for her warmth, humor, or just a quick chat.
More than anything, Tawni loved being a mother. Tawni was blessed with three beautiful children. Braiden Roberts, Charli Jo Roberts, and Taehler Sampley. Holidays with her children were her favorite, especially watching them open Chritstmas presents early Christmas morning. She took immense pride in their lives and lit up every time she spoke of them.
Tawni was so full of life and spirit. Whether it was her infectious laugh joking with her sister Tasha, her fierce loyalty supporting her older brother Brandon’s band, Trying to get a quick dance with her older brother John, or the way she could light up a room just by walking in and announcing herself. She left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.
Tawni found peace while soaking up the sun at Elkhead Reservoir. You could find her out on the lake paddle boarding, swimming with her children, or grilling burgers for family and friends to enjoy. Family gatherings, spontaneous road trips, inside jokes with her siblings, and her deep love for her children are just a few of the memories that will be cherished forever.
She is survived by her mother, JoDeena Bullock; her beloved children, Braiden Roberts, Charli Jo Roberts, and Taehler Sampley; her brothers, John (Jordan) Bullock and Brandon (Michaela) Bullock; her twin sister, Tasha Bullock; her nieces, Kali Hedman, and Tearanee Hammond and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.
Tawni is now resting peacefully in Heaven with her father, Kirbin Bullock; her maternal grandparents, Floyd and Wilma Gray; paternal grandparents, Wayne and Shirley Bullock; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.
A memorial service will be held on October 24, 2025 at 11:30 a.m. at The Journey at First Baptist Church, 1150 W, 9th St. in Craig, Colorado 81625, where all of her friends and loved ones will gather to celebrate the beautiful life of Tawni Michell (Bullock) Roberts. Lunch will be served directly after the service.
Tawni will be deeply missed, but her spirit and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
