Teresa Marie Maneotis

She passed suddenly after a one year battle with the C word stage 4 pancreatic cancer. She succumbed to a heart attack but did not let cancer beat her. Teresa was first married to John Doolin they had three beautiful boys Casey, Jesse, and Colton. On August 31, 2002 she married Steve Maneotis and gained her step daughter Jordan and gave birth to their son-Christos Maneotis. She is preceded in death by Her father John Haggerty, Father in Law Don Doolin, Mother in Law Mary Doolin, and Father in Law Tom Maneotis. She is survived by her Mother Darlene Haggerty, Brother John Jr., Husband Steve Maneotis, all of her children Casey; Jesse and his wife Kaci, Colton, Jordan and her spouse Brittany, and Christos. Grand children Phoenix, Eric, Brody, Madison, Lilly and Amari. As well as many close relatives she loved dearly.

Teresa loved serving others. She was a personal assistant at Wolf Mountain Ranch for 24 years, worked at the Moffat County jail and then sunset meadows where she so loved driving the bus helping them daily. She also worked at the Holiday Inn as banquet manager and loved volunteering for groups like the fire department decorating for their annual Christmas party over the past 10 years. She also loved second jobs like waitressing at the airport and signal hill. Teresa had a gift for managing and decorating events. She just brought class and beauty to all that she worked on. You could count on her house being decorated for every holiday and change of season as well. She loved spending time in her flower beds and yard doing work. She was so proud when she finally won the yard of the week!

She loved her extended family. Spending time with her cousin Tracy camping, hiking or sight seeing was always on the must do list. If nothing else spending an hour or two every morning just talking with her was a must. She loved visiting the museum in Savery taking in the history and looking at family photos there. Camping with family was always special and spending that time with her family, Tracy and Bob and Terry Bennett was special. Her last big outdoor trip was in Idaho with Steve on horseback for 7 days in drop camps soaking up Gods beauty. She had such a giving, soft heart and loved everyone. She loved her grandchildren and no matter the time if they called and needed anything she was there.

Teresa would never say the C word, she refused to speak it into her life and actually loved MD Anderson for treatment because their logo had a strike mark through the C word! She was so strong in her battle and never complained but rather always said she would honor Gods plan. On 9/11 a week before she passed she was flown flight for life to Glenwood due to a heart attack. While there her heart stopped but she fought back and she told Steve, God took her just long enough to take the cancer from her body. She couldn’t wait to laugh at the doctors when they found no cancer left in her. She fought a noble fight, never giving up but lost to a blood clot that took her so quickly on Sept 18th, 7 days later.

Most importantly, Teresa was a Christian and her faith was strong. She never complained of her level of pain, always smiled and always wanted to serve others. She was loved by many and left a never ending mark in so many lives. Our community and family lost a special woman on September 18th and God gained a special Angel.

A Trisagion will be held at 5:30 p.m., Friday, September 27, 2024, at the Grant Mortuary Chapel. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 28, 2024, at The Journey at First Baptist in Craig. A reception will be held at the Boys & Girls Club. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made in Teresa's memory to the Cancer Society of Moffat County in care of Grant Mortuary.
