Terry Lynn Cross was born April 30, 1957, in Pueblo, Colorado. She attended area schools, graduating from Central High School and later attending Colorado Northwestern Community College in Craig. It was in high school that she met her future husband, Robert (Bob) Parr, and the two were married December 12, 1974, moving to Craig in 1978.
Terry was employed for many years at Wal-Mart in Craig, but also held positions in the hospitality industry in both Craig and Steamboat, as well as being an associate with H&R Block. Away from work, Terry and Bob enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, and boating, as well as the Sturgis motorcycle rally and NASCAR races. Terry was devoted to her family and friends, and always willing to help others. She loved old science fiction shows, listening to old time radio programs, Cheeto Puffs, Mountain Dew, road trips with family and smores around the campfire. She was always thoughtful, and would send messages, funny items, or occasional mementos, just to let you know that she was thinking of you. Terry was treasured by her family and friends, and she will be deeply missed by all those who knew her.
Terry was preceded in death by her parents and an older sister. Her husband of 47 years, Bob Parr, passed away on October 23, 2022, as well as their infant daughter Becky in 1980. She is survived by her daughter Maggi Corpuz (Dave) of Denver, daughter Sandy Richardson (Jamie) of Fruita, stepdaughter Leila Rinker of Craig and grandchildren Zoe, Rilee, Lilly, Benjamin, and Katherine.
Family and friends are welcome to attend a celebration of Terry’s life to be held April 20th at 11:00 a.m. at Grant Mortuary in Craig. Her remains will be honored at a later date following the celebration.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to organizations supporting SIDS/Child Loss research, including the American SIDS Institute (sids.org/ways-to-help/donate) and AngelEyes.org.
