Thomas Eugene Gregory

A celebration of Tom’s life will be held at 4:30 p.m., Sunday, June 29, 2025, at the Soroco High School Football Field in Oak Creek.

Thomas Eugene Gregory was born the son of Charles Thomas and Ila Lorraine (Chandler) Gregory on January 15, 1949, in Oak Creek. Tom spent his childhood and attended schools in Oak Creek, where he was active in football, basketball and track.

Following high school, Tom honorably served with the United States Air Force for 3 ½ years.

In 1971, Tom married Judy Eskridge in Oak Creek. To this union, a son and daughter were born. The couple later divorced after 21 years of marriage, however they remained friends for their children and grandchildren.

Tom was employed with Twenty Mile Coal Company for many years. In his spare time, Tom was proud to serve as referee for High School sports for over 21 years.

Tom is survived by his son, Jody (Elizabeth Mayer) Gregory of Oak Creek; and daughter, Julie (Marc Bell) Gregory of Oak Creek. He is further survived by three grandchildren: Gregory Rubalcaba, Jace Gregory and Makenna Gregory.

Tom was preceded in death by his grandson, Brock Gregory; one sister, Charnel Wille; and his parents.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made in Tom’s memory to the Soroco FFA program in care of Grant Mortuary.
