Verna Marie Allen Weber peacefully departed this life at 11:30 PM on December 19th, 2025, in Saratoga, Wyoming – the same place she was born - leaving a legacy of love, hard work, and beautiful memories. Born on August 18, 1939, Verna touched the lives of all who knew her.
Verna’s early years were marked by her radiant beauty and a clever, resourceful nature that endeared her to many. She was known for her spirited participation in 4-H and rodeos, where her passion for barrel racing was matched only by her unyielding determination and grace in the arena.
Family was the center of Verna’s world. She shared deep, enduring bonds with her siblings, parents, and extended relatives, all of whom predeceased her. Verna’s love for her family was evident in every aspect of her life, and her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those she cherished.
Verna and her husband, Boone, built a life grounded in partnership and mutual support. Together, they owned and operated a successful meat processing plant, working side by side with their three children. Their family enterprise reflected their commitment to quality, community, and the value of honest labor and a strong work ethic.
Life on the working cattle ranch brought Verna immense joy. She found fulfillment in horseback riding across the open desert and took great pride in branding cattle alongside her family. The ranch was not just a livelihood but a place where lasting memories were made and traditions were honored.
Verna’s avid curiosity led her to explore the land for Indian artifacts, treasures she appreciated for their history and significance. She was also a skilled artisan, known for making jewelry, knitting, crocheting, intricate beading, and the unique craft of braiding with both nylon and horsehair. Each piece she created was a testament to her creativity and devotion to detail.
Verna’s legacy is one of resilience and strength. She will be deeply missed by her family & friends and the community of the Little Snake River Valley she helped shape. Her ingenuity and creative spirit will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Verna is predeceased by her husband Boone, son Shel, and grandson Riley, and is survived by her son Clint (Alex), daughter Rena (Felipe), daughter-in-law Yvonne, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren which she loved and cherished with all her heart.
Memorial Services for Verna will be held in the spring of 2026.
