Audrey A. Miles

Born October 7, 1921 in Bluffs to Roy and Rachel (Homer) Gerard, she married Bertram A. Miles on November 11, 1946 in Manhattan, Kansas. He died July 18, 1986 in Peoria. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Nancy King; two grandsons, Brandon Harris and Ryan Harris; one brother, and one sister.

Surviving are two daughters, Sharon A. Harris of Pekin and Becky (Dave) Smith of Marquette Heights; four grandchildren, Kevin (Emma) Smith of East Peoria, Krystal Smith of Morton, Jenni King and Lindsey King, both of Washburn and one great-grandchild, with a second on the way.

A homemaker, Audrey was an excellent seamstress and loved crocheting, knitting, painting and playing Bingo.

She was the oldest member at First United Methodist Church in Pekin and had been an active member of Caterpillar Retirees for many years.

Her graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin. Rev. Judy Doyle will officiate. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday morning at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
