

CREVE COEUR ~ Bruce Edward Winborn, 69, of Creve Coeur, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 7, 2026, surrounded by his family at his home. He had a long battle with diabetes and a short, sudden fight with cancer.
Born April 20, 1957 in Peoria, he was the eldest son of Edward Samuel and Donna Jean (Rosenbaum) Winborn. He married Loretta Jean Gianessi on February 17, 1979 at St. Monica Catholic Church in East Peoria. She survives.
Also surviving are his two children, Martin Winborn of Chillicothe and Dayton Winborn of Peoria; two grandchildren, Henry and Abigail Winborn; one brother, Ricky (Terri) Winborn of East Peoria and several nieces and nephews.
His parents and one sister, Karen Winborn, preceded him in death.
Bruce owned and operated Mr. Sewer of Central Illinois for 43 years. He provided sewer and drain cleaning services for thousands of Central Illinois customers. He ended a 50 year career due to his age and health problems.
Bruce enjoyed playing the guitar. He wrote and performed his own original songs under the name Wyler Delray. He also had interests in cars and drawing cartoons.
He had a great sense of humor and a deep love for Jesus Christ, family, and the people of Central Illinois. He was a member of Creve Coeur Christian Church and a bible believing Christian. He was a proud lifetime citizen of Creve Coeur.
Bruce’s memorial visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, August 16, 2026 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Creve Coeur. His memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, August 17, 2026 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Creve Coeur. Pastor John Plunkett will officiate.
