Charles A Vaughn

He was born on June 30, 1931, a son of Earl Brooks and Ruby Ellen (Childers) Vaughn in Benton, IL. Charles married Marlene June O’Brien in 1957 in Peoria, IL. She preceded him in death on March 17, 2018. His parents also preceded him in death.

Surviving are his daughter, Anita (Don) Lee of Goldendale, WA; two sons, Robert (Kitty) Vaughn of East Peoria and Steve (Rhonda) Vaughn of Andrews, TX; five grandchildren, Matthew Lee, Logan Vaughn, Lucas Vaughn, Kiley Smart, Delaney Thames; and three great-grandchildren, Trey Garcia, Rosaland Vaughn and Leon Vaughn.

He was the owner of Chuck’s 66 in Peoria Heights for many years.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Creve Coeur. Private burial will take place at Hillcrest Memory Gardens in rural Morton at a later date.
