David Lee Clark

Born December 10, 1963, in Peoria to Flavel Clark and Susan (Gilbert) Zaboarae, he married Carolyn Acton on October 10, 2025, in Peoria. She survives.

Also surviving are his mother; three step-children, Stacey Krafft of East Peoria, Jennifer (Irvin) Robins of Henry and Clayton Krafft of Henry; one step-grandchild, Zoey Wells of East Peoria; six siblings, Theresa Philyaw of Creve Coeur, Mary McGarr of East Peoria, Danny Clark of Peoria, Amanda Taylor of Norwood, Chris Clark of Missouri and Andrew Clark of Missouri and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father; paternal grandparents; maternal grandparents, Marry and Sam Parks; one step-grandchild; one uncle, Dwayne Gilbert; five aunts, Mary Lou Abner, Judy Thompson, Janice Comier, Bonnie Nash and Sharlene and one cousin, Janel Pierson.

David was a laborer, lastly working at Peoria Brick Company.

He enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening, and spending time working in the garage. He liked watching football and sci-fi tv shows. He loved playing guitar and listening to music.

A celebration of David’s life will be held at a later date. Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
