Kevin E Emert
May 31, 1955 – January 10, 2021
EAST PEORIA ~ Kevin E. Emert, 65, of East Peoria, passed away at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, January 10, 2021 at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
Born May 31, 1955 in Peoria to Harvey and Pauline (Huston) Emert, he married the love of his life, Debra Smith on February 2, 1974 in East Peoria. She survives.
Also surviving are three daughters, Tina (David) Devall of Manito, Devin (Christopher) Boles of East Peoria, Elizabeth Emert of Creve Coeur; two nieces that he raised as his own, Becky (Bryan) Grimes of Pekin, Patti (Jim) Rawlings of Manito; one brother, Ronald (Connie) Emert of Texas; one sister, Bonita Cole of Creve Coeur; fourteen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, bonus kids and grandkids.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Gregory Emert and Terry Emert.
He enlisted in the United States Navy at age 17 and was honorably discharged.
Kevin last worked as a supervisor at G & D Transportation.
Kevin was a Jack-of-All-Trades helping his family any way he could. He enjoyed the outdoors, camping as a growing family and recently bought a camper with his wife to travel in. He loved to travel with his wife and had made their way to 18 different MLB Stadiums, Disney World, Disney Land, Niagara Falls and all of the East Coast. He was an avid Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears Fan.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, January 14, 2021 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Creve Coeur. His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Creve Coeur Christian Church in Creve Coeur. Guidelines regarding social distancing and masks will be followed.

I have so many wonderful memories of my brother in law Kevin. If he said to me something not nice ( but he was kidding with me) I would say to him that's 1. Then that's 2! We did it every time we saw each other. His humor is so like his older brother, Ron. We always cracked up around each other! He will be missed so much. We will all be together one day on the other side! I love you❤
