

Born April 5, 1939 in Appleton City, Missouri to Dwight and Dora (Park) Ferguson, he married Shirley Ann Hunter on May 24, 1963 in Sutherland, Oregon.
Surviving is his wife of 60 years; three sons, Jerry Ferguson (Joy) of Ecru, Mississippi, Robert (Rhonda) Ferguson of Minnesota and David Ferguson of East Peoria; ten grandchildren; four great-grandsons and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
Larry was a veteran of the United States Army.
He had worked at Caterpillar, Inc. in East Peoria for 32 years retiring in 1997. He also worked for the East Peoria School District #86 as bus driver for 24 years for special needs kids before retiring in 2021.
Larry enjoyed working on cars and computers. He also enjoyed photography and fishing.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Creve Coeur.
His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday, January 26, 2024 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Creve Coeur. Pastor David Lynn will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Roberts Cemetery in Morton. Military rites will be provided by the United States Army and Tazewell Military Rites Team.
