Born April 16, 1966 in Peoria to David and Ruth (Sanders) Jacobs, she married Kenneth Tazelaar on December 2, 1989 in Joliet. He survives.
Also surviving are her sons, Patrick (Jenna Seeley) Tazelaar of Peoria Heights, Thomas Tazelaar and Christian Tazelaar, both of East Peoria; one granddaughter, Theia Tazelaar; one sister, Tina (Larry) Ferguson of Goofy Ridge: one brother, William (Kat Armstrong) Ledden, Jr.; two aunts, Mari Favero and Alice Farrero of Joliet and numerous cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Barabra Jacobs.
Laura had run a computer business at her home for many years.
She was of the Christian faith.
Laura enjoyed cooking, computers, and her dogs who she adored. She had a knack for collecting business cards, pens, and pencils from anywhere and everywhere.
There will be no services at this time. Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Creve Coeur.
