She was born November 24, 2009 in Pekin to Jason and Margaret Chrystie (Leathers) McCain.
Surviving are her mother, Margaret (Randell Ratliff) McCain of Creve Coeur; her father, Jason (Melissa Eitenmiller) McCain of Pekin; one sister, Isabella McCain of Pekin; one brother, Ayden McCain of Pekin; maternal grandfather, Jake Jacobson of Washington; paternal grandparents, Brad and Karen McCain of Pekin and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Gavin McCain and her maternal grandmother, Patricia Jacobson.
She was currently in the sixth grade at Wilson Immediate School in Pekin.
Madelynn was a smart, funny girl that would light up a room and bring smiles to all those around her. She was an amazing person that loved and cared for everyone.
Madelynn and her big sister, Izzy were like “peanut butter and jelly, yet like oil and water”. They did everything together. Madelynn will be greatly missed by all those who knew her, especially by Izzy.
Her memorial service will be at 6 p.m. Friday, December 3, 2021 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Pastor Scott Seynemeier will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 5:45 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home. A candle light vigil will be held Saturday, November 27, 2021 at the Creve Coeur Community Center, 586 Groveland Street in Creve Coeur.
