Born August 4, 1930 in Mulkeytown to Loren and Grace (Moyer) Ramsey, she married William Mark Dornon on May 26, 1964 in Pekin. He died on April 5, 2002 in Peoria. She was also preceded in death by her parents; two sons, William Dornon and Darrell Bennett; two daughters, Vivian Sledgister and Karen Dornon; two sisters, and three brothers.
Surviving are four sons; six grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and one brother, Sonny Ramsey.
Maude had worked for the State of Illinois Unemployment Office for 15 years, retiring in 1990.
Her funeral will be at noon Monday, May 19, 2025 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Creve Coeur. Pastor Steve Weber will officiate. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to noon Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin.
