Orin "Rick" Burgess

Born on December 3, 1966, in Peoria, he was a son of Orin Richard and Nora Ethel (Cowan) Burgess.

He is survived by his son, Orin Richard Keith Burgess of Pekin; five grandchildren, Mason, Tessa, Jaxon, Jazmyn, Bailey; five sisters, Jeraldine (Michael) Norvel of Claremore, Oklahoma, Deborah (Steve Demaness) Lambert of Peoria, Shelbie (Kyle Grammer) Buckner of Creve Coeur; Connie (Bill) Landers of East Peoria, MaryAnne (Nick McMahon) Rigelwood of Creve Coeur; a host of nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and one son, Christopher Burgess.

Rick worked as a General Contractor for many years and was known as a jack of all trades. He had attended Bethel Baptist Church of Pekin. He loved his family very much and enjoyed spending time with them. He loved helping others and was always willing to lend his hand.

His visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to noon on Friday, October 10, 2025, at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Creve Coeur, where a funeral service will follow with Brother Gage Reno officiating. Burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
