Born July 10, 1954 in Lebanon, Indiana to Thomas and Wilma (Baumgardner) Deweese, he married Francisca Roe on July 10, 1972 in Peoria. She survives.
Also surviving are three children, Bridget Craig of East Peoria, Christine (Tod) Hallberg of Kankakee and Dianne Cuevas of Creve Coeur; eight grandchildren, Cody, Nick, Sara, Kendra, Allison, Bryce, Olivia and Quentin; 13 great-grandchildren and two sisters, Amy and Tami.
He was preceded by his parents and six siblings.
Randy worked for the City of East Peoria until retiring in 2015. He was formerly a mechanic for the American Red Cross along with a few other places.
A jack of all trades, Randy enjoyed riding his Harley, working on and selling vehicles and looking stuff up on his computer. He cared for his family deeply and always made sure they were taken care of and looked forward to the annual cookouts Frankie arranged.
Randy was tough as nails and in the 11 years he was sick, he never once gave up and fought hard every day.
Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Creve Coeur. There are no services.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675.
