Richard "Richie" Warren Sherman

Born February 24, 1965 in Minnehaha County, South Dakota to Gerald and Hazel (Rockhold) Sherman, he married Stacey Braun in 2001. She survives.

Also surviving are their two children, Mitchel (Megan) Kellum of Edwards and Tatum (Karin) Kellum of West Peoria; three grandchildren, Maevry Kellum, Maddox Kellum and Mills Kellum; and his beloved dog, Newbomb Turk.

Richie was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Laurie Swearingen.

His life revolved around motorcycles. In his younger years he played both varsity football and wrestling. His children remember his good humor and straightforward observations.

Following Richie's wishes, there will be no services at this time. There will be a benefit planned for a later date.

Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Creve Coeur.
